Hello and welcome to NewAutismCure.com! My name is Dr Chun Wong and I have been a practicing physician since 2000 and am a Naturopath, Chiropractic Internist and a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine. I practice medicine in Illinois and specialize in chronic pain and pediatric conditions, including autism. My training, research and the fact that I used to be a nutritionist, mean that I am extremely familiar with the biomedical approach to Autism and I spend my time researching the treatment of Autism in children.
Before becoming a physician, I was a dietetic consultant for special groups and the community, but was frustrated with my work because I felt that there was so much more I could do to help people. I wanted to help people to live a healthier life, by making the correct and natural choices. I therefore decided to become a natural medicine physician. I graduated from the University of Toronto with majors in microbiology, human biology and nutrition, and then attended the National University of Health Sciences to receive my Doctorate in Chiropractic.
My Work With Autism
After completing my doctorate, I worked as an associate in a clinic before opening my practice, Family Wellness Care, in 2001. Family Wellness Care provides family medicine services based on the philosophy of natural medicine and I have personally treated all sorts of conditions and diseases through my practice. My specialism is in using a biomedical approach to multifactorial diseases, such as autism.
In 2002, I worked with my first autism case, a boy called Tom. I successfully worked with Tom and other autistic children by combining ideas and philosophy from Oriental Medicine, Naturopathic Medicine and biomedical treatment which follows the DAN! Protocol.
I work with autistic children diagnosed with ASD, PDD-NOS, Asperger Syndrome, Rett Syndrome and Childhood disintegrative disorder, and provide them with result-oriented biomedical care. As a DAN! physician, I am obliged to constantly stay on the cutting-edge of medical advancement through attendance in conferences, workshops and medical literatures. As an accomplished and certified practitioner, I use various techniques, including Hyperbaric oxygen therapy, Chelation therapy, Applied kinesiology, Cranial-Sacral Technique, Natural healing, Neuroemotional Technique, Somatoemotional Release, Total Body Modification, Herbology, Nutritional and Diet Therapy and advanced diagnostic procedures.

More About Dr Chun Wong
As well as being a DAN! physician, I am also Board Certified in Naturopathic Medicine from the American Naturopathic Medical Association and received my acupuncture and pediatric fellowships at the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture and International Chiropractic Pediatric Association respectively. Also, I am a Diplomate of the College of Physicians in Integrative Medicine with the American Association of Integrative Medicine. This means that I have a highly specialized skills in combining the techniques of western medicine with alternative medicine.
In 2008, I co-founded a new organization called Integrative Autism Medicine with Dr. Lynda Dinh, a naturopathic and chiropractic physician. I also started this website and blog to expose DAN! biomedical approaches and to bring parents up-to-date news on breakthrough treatments for autism, with a particular focus on hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Because of this, my time is limited and I do not provide 24- hour call or emergency services or maintain hospital-admitting privileges. I recommend you have a Primary Care Physician for these services. However, I am accessible via the phone or for a one-to-one consultation for our existing patients and for subscribers of my monthly newsletter.
In 2006, we were proud when our village, Algonquin, awarded our practice the highest recognition award for businesses, the Community Service Award. This award is only awarded to businesses that continually offer more to the community than just their services or products. In 2001, I was recognized in National Register’s Who’s Who in Executives and Professionals for excellence in services.
